Frequently Asked Questions
Everything below comes from questions we actually get asked. The first three are the ones that most often cause a problem on delivery day — please read those before you book.
Who is responsible for making sure my venue allows inflatables?
You are. Before booking, it is the customer's responsibility to confirm that your event location permits inflatable rentals, and to obtain any permits, certificates of insurance, or written approvals that location requires.
This applies to public parks, apartment and condo complexes, schools, churches, campgrounds, community centers, HOAs, and any private or municipal property you don't personally own. Many of these locations restrict or prohibit inflatables outright, and many require advance paperwork filed weeks ahead of your date. Party Patrol Rentals has no way to verify the rules at your specific location on your behalf.
If we arrive and are told by property management, park staff, or any other authority that inflatables are not permitted, the rental is treated as a same-day customer cancellation and all payments made are forfeited. Our crew, truck, and equipment were committed to your date and location, and that time cannot be recovered.
If you learn of a venue restriction ahead of your event, contact us immediately at (413) 230-0596. The sooner you call, the more we can do. We will make every reasonable effort to move your reservation to an alternate address within our service area, subject to equipment availability, route capacity, and any additional delivery fees for the new location.
What happens if there's no power at my setup location?
A working, dedicated power source must be within 100 feet of the setup area, and it is the customer's responsibility to confirm this before your delivery date.
A few things that do not meet this requirement:
- Outlets more than 100 feet from where the unit will sit
- Outlets shared with other equipment, sound systems, food trucks, or a second inflatable
- Outlets reachable only through a locked building, a neighbor's unit, or a space you don't control
- Customer-supplied household extension cords (we provide the correct cords for our blowers)
- Outlets that are dead, on a tripped breaker, or on a circuit that can't carry the load
Multiple inflatables require separate breakers. We are not responsible for non-working outlets or circuits that trip during your rental.
If you are unsure whether adequate power is available, add a generator to your order in advance. Generators must be added before your delivery date so we can load one — our trucks do not carry spare generators, and we cannot add one on arrival.
If our crew arrives and no adequate power source is available and no generator was added to the order, we cannot complete the setup safely. The rental is treated as a same-day customer cancellation and all payments made are forfeited.
What kind of access does your crew need?
We need a clear, unobstructed path from where our truck can park to the setup area — generally at least 4 feet wide, with adequate overhead clearance. Larger inflatables such as giant slides, obstacle courses, and tents require more.
Before we arrive, please:
- Unlock all gates, and let us know in advance if a gate is narrower than 4 feet
- Move vehicles, trailers, and equipment out of the delivery path
- Secure all pets
- Clear the setup area of furniture, toys, grills, and debris
- Have someone present who can authorize where the unit goes
If our crew cannot reach the setup area due to blocked access, locked gates, or an unsafe path, and the issue cannot be resolved while we're on site, the rental is treated as a same-day customer cancellation and all payments made are forfeited.
What about parks? Do parks have electricity?
Some parks have electrical outlets available for public use, but availability varies widely depending on the park's amenities and management. Many have no accessible power at all, and outlets that do exist are often locked, seasonal, or reserved for permitted events only.
Confirming that your park permits inflatable rentals is your responsibility, not ours. Many municipal parks — including a number in the Springfield, Chicopee, Holyoke, and Westfield areas — prohibit inflatables entirely, or require a permit and a certificate of insurance filed weeks in advance. Call the parks and recreation department for your town before you book, and ask specifically about inflatables, not just about reserving the space.
If electricity is not available at the park, add a generator to your order in advance and we'll bring one. Please let us know your event location when you book, and we'll help you think through what you'll need.
What if we need to cancel?
All deposits are non-refundable. The deposit secures your booking and cannot be returned if you decide to cancel.
Cancellations made 3 or more days ahead of your event receive a raincheck for the balance paid, valid for one year from your original event date.
Setups we cannot complete on arrival due to site conditions — no adequate power, blocked or unsafe access, or a venue that does not permit inflatables — are treated as same-day customer cancellations, and all payments made are forfeited. These situations are preventable with a phone call ahead of time, and we would much rather help you solve the problem than turn a truck around.
Once a tent rental has been confirmed, cancellations are not permitted under any circumstances. Tents require significant preparation, logistics, and scheduling. The no-cancellation policy ensures that we can maintain the highest level of service and availability for all clients.
Does the price include set up and delivery?
For grass setups, setup is included in the price. However, for anchoring tents or inflatables to pavement or asphalt, or for indoor events, additional fees apply. Delivery fees also apply and are priced according to the state, town, or city for delivery. Please note that prices do not include sales tax.
Do you deliver to other cities?
Yes, we do deliver to other cities. Delivery fees are calculated based on the destination city or town, and additional charges may apply depending on the distance. Please reach out to us for specific delivery inquiries, and we'll be happy to provide you with more information.
Do you provide electrical cords and hoses?
Yes, we do provide electrical cords and hoses as needed for our equipment and setups. These items are typically included in the rental package. However, if you have specific requirements or need additional cords and hoses, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs accordingly.
Please keep in mind that you must have a power source within 100' of the setup area. If you do not have the power requirements, we do rent generators for an additional fee — generators must be added to your order before your delivery date.
When do you set up?
That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally we arrive 1-3 hours before the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that week, we may need to deliver a day or 2 early. If this is the case, we will call the 2 days before to confirm that someone will be at the party location.
However, the exact timing depends on various factors such as the type of setup, the venue's availability, and your event's schedule. We work closely with you to coordinate the setup time to ensure everything is in place and ready for your event to start. Please communicate your event schedule and any specific timing requirements with us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
We've rented some really dirty jumps from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
No, inflatables should not always be dirty. At our company, we prioritize cleanliness and hygiene to provide you with a positive rental experience. Before every rental, our inflatables are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to ensure they are in pristine condition for your event. We understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for all our customers, and we take great care to uphold these standards. If you have any concerns about cleanliness or hygiene, please don't hesitate to let us know, and we'll address them promptly.
Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
Yes, for most inflatable setups, it's necessary to keep them plugged in and running the entire time they're in use. This ensures proper inflation and stability, as well as continuous airflow for safety. However, there may be exceptions depending on the specific setup or equipment. We'll provide you with detailed instructions on how to operate the inflatable safely and effectively during your rental period. If you have any concerns or questions about power requirements, please feel free to discuss them with us, and we'll be happy to assist you.
What payments do you take?
Cash, Credit Cards, Certified Bank Checks or Business Checks. If paying by cash, please have exact change as our drivers do not carry cash. Unfortunately we do not accept personal checks.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we do require a minimum 25% credit card deposit for all orders. This deposit is necessary to reserve the equipment for your event date. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as it ensures that our inventory is reserved exclusively for your event and cannot be rented to anyone else. This policy helps us maintain availability and ensures that your event receives the equipment you need as agreed upon.
How big are your inflatables?
The size of our inflatables varies depending on the specific product you're interested in. We offer a range of inflatable options, including bounce houses, slides, obstacle courses, and more, each with its own dimensions.
For specific size information, please refer to the product descriptions on our website or contact us directly. We'll be happy to provide you with detailed measurements and specifications to help you choose the inflatable that best fits your event space and requirements.
What about the big inflatables? Any special requirements?
Yes, our larger inflatables may have special requirements due to their size and weight. Before renting a big inflatable such as a giant slide or obstacle course, it's essential to consider factors such as space, access, and surface type.
Space: Ensure that you have enough space to accommodate the inflatable safely. Measure the area where you plan to set up the inflatable and consider any obstacles such as trees, buildings, or fences.
Access: Big inflatables may require adequate access for delivery and setup. This includes clear pathways, wide entrances, and sufficient clearance for transportation.
Surface Type: The surface on which the inflatable will be set up is crucial for safety. While grass is ideal, we can also set up on pavement or asphalt with proper anchoring. Indoor setups may require additional precautions to protect flooring.
Power: Ensure access to a power source for inflating the inflatable. We typically provide blowers to inflate the inflatable, which require electricity.
Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by our staff. Supervision by responsible adults is also essential, especially for larger inflatables with multiple participants.
By considering these factors and communicating with our team, we can ensure a smooth rental experience for your big inflatable, making your event both enjoyable and safe. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
What surfaces do you set up on?
We can set up our inflatables on a variety of surfaces, including grass, pavement, asphalt, and indoor flooring. Each surface may require different anchoring methods to ensure stability and safety:
Grass: Ideal for outdoor setups, grass provides a natural and soft surface for inflatables. We anchor inflatables securely to the ground using stakes or heavy-duty sandbags. Please mark any underground lines before we arrive.
Pavement/Asphalt: Inflatables can be set up on pavement or asphalt surfaces, but special precautions are necessary. We use weighted sandbags or water barrels to anchor the inflatables safely and securely. Additional fees apply.
Indoor Flooring: For indoor events, we set up inflatables on various types of flooring, including gymnasium floors, concrete, or carpet. We take extra care to protect the flooring from damage and use non-marking materials for anchoring. Additional fees apply.
Before your event, our team will assess the setup location and recommend the most suitable anchoring method based on the surface type. Safety is our top priority, and we ensure that all setups are secure and stable to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. If you have any specific questions or concerns about the setup surface, please feel free to contact us.
Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?

You can request a copy of the contract and safety rules by contacting our customer service team directly. We're committed to transparency and ensuring that our customers have all the necessary information to make informed decisions and have a safe and enjoyable experience with our services. Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?
Yes, as stated in our rental agreement, you are responsible for any damages to the unit during the rental period. However, we offer a damage waiver option that provides coverage for accidental damages. The damage waiver is an additional fee, and by opting for it, you are protected from most repair costs associated with accidental damages to the inflatable.
Please note that the damage waiver does not cover damages resulting from negligence, misuse, or intentional acts. It's essential to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided to minimize the risk of damages. If you choose not to purchase the damage waiver, you will be responsible for the full repair or replacement costs in the event of damage to the unit.
For detailed information about our damage waiver policy and coverage, please refer to the rental agreement or contact our customer service team. We're here to answer any questions you may have and help you make the best decision for your rental needs.

How does the "Rent a Day, Get a Day Free" promotion work?
Our "Rent a Day, Get a Day Free" promotion allows you to enjoy an extra rental day at no additional cost. Here are the key details you need to know:
- Consecutive Days Requirement: The rental days must be consecutive. This means the free day must immediately follow or precede the paid rental day.
- Weekday and Weekend Day: The promotion applies when you rent for a combination of one weekday and one weekend day. For example, you can rent Friday and Saturday, or a Sunday with Monday.
- Excludes Full Weekend: This offer does not apply to rentals that only cover full weekends (Saturday and Sunday). To take advantage of this promotion, one of your rental days must be a weekday.
Table and chair rentals in June
Can I rent just tables and chairs without a bounce house or tent? Yes. We rent tables and chairs as standalone items. Add what you need to your order and check out the same way you would for any rental.
Why is there a cancellation policy specific to June? June is our busiest month of the year. Tables and chairs are in extremely high demand around graduations, weddings, and end-of-school events. To keep equipment available for full-event bookings, Party Patrol Rentals reserves the right to cancel or modify standalone table-and-chair-only orders during June, at our discretion.
What does "reserve the right to cancel" actually mean for my order? It means a table-and-chair-only order placed for a June date is not guaranteed until we confirm it. If demand requires it, we may cancel or adjust your order. If we cancel, you'll be notified as early as possible and any payment you made on the canceled items will be refunded in full.
Will I get my money back if you cancel? Yes. If Party Patrol Rentals cancels a table-and-chair-only order, you receive a full refund for the canceled items. This is different from a customer-initiated cancellation, where standard deposit rules apply.
How can I make my table and chair order more likely to stick? Bundle them with another rental. Table-and-chair orders attached to a bounce house, waterslide, or tent rental are treated as part of a full event booking and are not subject to the June standalone-cancellation policy. Booking early also helps.
Does this apply outside of June? No. This standalone-cancellation policy applies only to table-and-chair-only orders for June dates. Outside June, standalone table and chair orders follow our normal booking terms.
When will I know my June table and chair order is confirmed? You'll receive confirmation from our team once your order is reviewed. Until you get that confirmation, treat a standalone June order as requested, not guaranteed.
Who do I contact with questions? Call us at (413) 230-0596 (MA) or (860) 265-4869 (CT), or text (413) 251-6225.
